Blame it on the star power, the stellar performances, the direction, BGM, or anything else, but ‘Pushpa 2’ isn’t losing its grip at the box office. Headlined by some of the biggest names in the industry – Allu Arjun, Rashmika Mandanna, and Fahad Faasil, the movie completed three weeks at the box office. It minted close to Rs.100 crores gross and topped the Rs 1500 crore gross mark worldwide in the third weekend, according to Sacnilk’s latest report.

Pushpa 2: The Rule Movie Review
‘Pushpa 2’ and its box office numbers were making noise right from the word go. The film’s opening day collection in India was Rs 164.25 crore net, which included Rs. 80.3 crore in Telugu, Rs 70.3 crore in Hindi, Rs 7.7 crore in Tamil, Rs 1 crore in Kannada and Rs 4.95 crore in Malayalam. Then within a week, the movie was made a collection of Rs 725.8 cores net. This collection includes the movie minting Rs 242 core in Telugu, Rs 425.1 core in Hindi, Rs 41 crore in Tamil, Rs 5.3 in Kannada, and Rs 12.4 crore in Malayalam. Week two brought the movie closer to the Rs.1000 crore mark.
Further, if we come to the gross collection of the actioner, by the end of the third weekend, the movie had around Rs 1267 crores in gross collection at the Indian box office. The movie has made a worldwide collection of approximately Rs 1506 crores gross.

‘Pushpa 2’ currently stands as the second biggest grosser in India, the first as of now is ‘Baahubali 2’ with 1416 crores. However, if we talk about net collection, Allu Arjun’s mass entertainer has the crown.
The movie to date is receiving rave reviews. ETimes gave the movie 3.5 stars out of 5. Our review of the movie reads – “Director Sukumar’s brilliance shines through in Pushpa 2: The Rule. He masterfully balances a mass entertainer with a film rich in social commentary, weaving layers of emotion, action, and intrigue into a compelling cinematic experience. Despite the extensive runtime of 3 hours and 20 minutes, the film keeps its audience riveted with a mix of high-octane sequences, character-driven moments, and a poignant emotional arc.”
Pushpa 2: Stampede controversy
The craze of ‘Pushpa 2’ took an ugly turn when a woman lost her life in the stampede at Sandhya Theatre during the premiere. Latest reports state that Allu Arjun has been summoned to Chikkadpally police station over the case.
The actor’s Hyderabad house Jubilee Hills was vandalized on Sunday. Accuseser identified themselves as the OU JAC (Joint Action Committee of Osmania University students). His father, Allu Aravind, addressed the press and said: “Everyone has seen what happened at our house today. But it is time for us to act accordingly. Now is not the right time for us to react to anything. The law will take its own course.” A Hyderabad court on Monday granted bail to six individuals.
Since then, the Hyderabad police have beefed up the security at the actor’s residence to prevent further disturbances. More and more controversies are erupting around this case. Various parties are blaming governance failures for the stampede incident and have been raising questions about the motives behind the protest.
On Monday evening Allu Arjun shared his first social media post after the protest; however, it had nothing to do with the ongoing controversies. He took to X to respond to a post shared by YRF, celebrating the success of ‘Pushpa 2.’ In a gratitude post Allu Arjun wrote – “Thank you … so graceful . Humbled by your wishes. Thank you , I am touched . May this record soon be broken by a heart-melting #YRF film , and may we all collectively move towards excellence.”
Further, on Monday, Pushap 2’s producer, Naveen Yerneni of Mythri Movie Makers, donated a sum of ₹50 lakh to the victim’s family.
