NAGPUR: The Lakadganj zone of the Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) acted against property tax defaulters by attaching four properties having outstanding dues amounting to Rs5.36 lakh. According to a press note, the properties are located in Mouza Chikhali Devasthan under Prabhag number 22.
The defaulters include Sitaram Sahu (House No. 1261/18) and Tarabai Lakhe (House No. 1261/24), both having properties at Shilpa Cooperative Housing Society, Nagpur Improvement Trust, Dilip Khandwani and Ritu Fulwani (House No. 1252/155), and Dilip Khandwani and Tulsidas Khandwani (House No. 1252/156).
These property owners did not clear their dues for the period 2016 to 2024. Additionally, the zone issued notices to 798 other property owners for defaulting on property tax payments totalling Rs2.83 crore.
