PUNE: Maharashtra Real Estate Regulatory Authority (MahaRERA) has switched temporarily to its old Information Technology (Maha IT) website due to technical challenges faced by users on the newly launched MahaCRITI platform.

The decision is aimed at avoiding inconvenience to homebuyers and other stakeholders during the festival season.

MahaRERA chairman Manoj Saunik conducted a review meeting after receiving numerous complaints about issues hampering user experience on MahaCRITI website. The problems were causing delays in availing services, which prompted immediate action from the authority, a MahaRERA official told TOI.

Recognising the surge in real estate transactions during Diwali and Dussehra, including new home registrations and project launches, MahaRERA decided to reactivate the old Maha IT-operated website which was functional prior to August 31. This change will take effect from October 5 at 11:59 PM, stated a release from MahaRERA on Friday.

“To ensure that all stakeholders do not face difficulties due to technical glitches on MahaCRITI website, I have instructed that old website MahaIT be restored,” the MahaRERA chairman said. He urged all stakeholders to use this website for all MahaRERA services until further notice.

The MahaCRITI website, launched on August 31 at midnight, encountered several technical issues, leading to this temporary rollback. MahaRERA has requested all parties involved to take note of this update and cooperate with the authority during this transition.
