Here’s how you can get Apple Watch ‘free’ with this HDFC Ergo ‘plan’- Homevior

HDFC Ergo has teamed up with insurance distribution platform Zopper to introduce the “India Gets Moving” program, an innovative initiative encouraging fitness through technology and rewards. Under this program, participants are challenged to walk 15,000 steps daily for an entire year, with an exciting incentive: a free Apple Watch. Those who successfully meet the step count goal every day for a year will receive a full refund on their Apple Watch purchase. Eligible models include the Apple Watch Series 10, Apple Watch Ultra, and more. This program aims to inspire an active lifestyle while seamlessly blending health, technology, and rewards. Here’s everything you need to know:

How to get an Apple Watch for ‘free’ with this program

To avail of this reward, customers must first purchase the Apple Watch and manually register for the Zopper Wellness Program, which is free of charge. This offer is available at all Apple Premium Resellers in India, including Invent, Unicorn, and others.
However, it’s important to note that this offer will be exclusively available at offline outlets of Apple Premium Resellers and may vary depending on the city and store. Purchases made through the official Apple website, Amazon, Flipkart, or other retailers will not be eligible for this offer.
Upon successful registration, customers will become members of HDFC Ergo’s insurance program, with Solvy Tech Solutions serving as the master policyholder. Additionally, customers also have to sync their Apple Health Kit data with the HDFC Ergo app to enter this program.
Once the setup is complete, customers can qualify for up to a 100% refund of their Apple Watch value, based on the number of steps they walk daily.
Walking 15,000 steps daily for an entire year will make a customer eligible for a full refund of the watch’s cost. This offer applies to the Apple Watch Series 10, Apple Watch Ultra, and other models.
The system functions by tracking your daily steps and converting them into points, which are credited accordingly.

Daily steps and points earned:

  • Up to 8,000 steps: 0 points
  • 8,001 – 10,000 steps: 1 point
  • 10,001 – 12,000 steps: 2 points
  • 12,001 – 15,000 steps: 3 points
  • Above 15,000 steps: 4 points

To qualify for a full refund of your Apple Watch, customers will need to accumulate 110 points each month. Partial refunds can also be claimed based on fewer steps, calculated on a pro-rata basis as follows:

Points collected in a month and refund percentage:

  • Less than 30 points: 0% refund
  • 31 – 50 points: 10% refund
  • 51 – 70 points: 30% refund
  • 71 – 90 points: 60% refund
  • 91 – 110 points: 80% refund
  • More than 110 points: 100% refund

If customers consistently meet their monthly targets for 12 months, they’ll receive a full refund for their Apple Watch, which will effectively make it free. Customers can still receive a refund of up to 30% even if they walk fewer steps.
