Bring Mantri Estate Management’s MD before panel on September 23: NCDRC, – Homevior


BENGALURU: The National Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission (NCDRC) Joint Registrar on September 2 directed Station House Officer of Cubbon Park Police Station to execute the non-bailable warrant of arrest against Sushil Mantri Chairman and Managing Director of M/s Mantri Estate Management Pvt Limited.

“You are hereby directed to execute the non-bailable warrant of arrest against Sushil Mantri, Chairman and Managing Director of Mantri Estate Management Pvt Limited and produce him before this honourable National Commission on September 23 at 10.30 am,’’ the order issued by Iqbal Ahmed, Joint Registrar of NCDRC read.

It may be recalled that the NCDRC has directed the registry on August 23 to issue fresh non-bailable warrant against Sushil Mantri, the main director of the JD Company to be brought before the NCDRC physically on September 23.

The NCDRC has also directed the registry to issue summons to the concerned Station House Officer for being present along with the accused Sushil Mantri for persistent defying of the orders issued by the NCDRC.

“The copy of the warrant be send to both the DCP and also Commissioner of Police Bangalore for execution, without fail,’’ the NCDRC directive issued on August 23 stated.

It may be recalled that NCDRC has issued an order on January 31, 2022 stating that Mantri Estate Management Private Limited and others had collected Rs 7,12,86,650 from 302 flat owners. It was agreed that once the agreement is terminated or on expiry of the agreement, the refundable amount would be refunded to the flat owners.

The NCDRC has stated that it was of the considered view that the complainants are not only entitled for the refund of their refundable deposit amount but also a fair and reasonable compensation for the delay.
