GURUGRAM: The MCG commissioner ordered on Tuesday to seal an under-construction residential floor in a housing board plot located in Sector 52. The action was taken in response to a complaint filed by a resident living on the ground floor, who alleged that another resident constructed an unauthorised structure above their floor without a sanctioned plan.

The complainant said the govt had only approved the construction of up to three floors on the plot, but the violator started constructing a fourth floor. The matter was addressed during a grievance redressal meeting on Tuesday.

“I have directed the assistant engineer (enforcement) Krishan Kumar to immediately issue a notice to the concerned party regarding construction on an unsafe foundation and to inform the Housing Board officials about this.

Additionally, the illegal construction should be sealed, and an FIR should be filed against the contractor responsible for the construction,” said Narhari Singh Banger.

In a separate complaint about debris dumped in an empty plot, the commissioner ordered the officers present at the site to clear the debris and take action against both the plot owner and the person responsible for dumping the debris. According to the directive, they will be subject to penalties for their actions.

Banger said complaints related to C&D waste, garbage, cleanliness, horticultural waste, sewer overflow, and property tax are being resolved on the same day at the resolution camp.

Additionally, for complaints that require more time to resolve, a timeline is being set. He mentioned that the concerned nodal officer is continuously taking feedback from the complainants. He instructed the officers to resolve the complaints and update the online portal immediately.
